Four ways to start a lesson
Choose a five-question multiple-choice quiz with an answer key, a class poll, a discussion prompt, or a five-minute bell ringer. Select a grade band from Pre-K through grade 12 so the language and task fit your audience. Image reveals, merges, and slideshows remain available in the manual editor and template library.
Try a specific learning goal
For a quiz, try “Review evaporation, condensation, precipitation, collection, and sunlight in the water cycle.” For a bell ringer, try “Help students explain how they know two fractions are equivalent.” For a discussion, try “Compare how two characters solve the same problem, using evidence from the story.” Include the concept you want students to practice; leave student names and personal information out.
Review first, share second
Generation saves an activity privately in your teacher account. Open the editor to check facts, answer choices, wording, and age suitability. AI can make mistakes, and a requested standard is not a guarantee of verified alignment. Preview the student experience, then publish when you are satisfied. Publication creates a student link and makes the activity discoverable in DailyEd public search. Students do not need accounts.
Use your existing teacher account
You do not need ChatGPT or a separate Claude account. DailyEd sends your topic, activity type, and grade band to Anthropic Claude to write the content. It does not send your profile, existing activities, or student responses. Read our privacy policy for provider retention and data-handling details.
Free includes 2 AI generations per month, Plus includes 30, and Pro includes 100. These reset on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC. Each successful chat revision also uses one AI generation, updating the same activity without another activity slot. Newly generated activities also count toward the overall activity allowance: 5 on Free, 31 on Plus, and no monthly activity cap on Pro. Deleting an activity does not restore an AI generation. In-app AI requests have limits of 3 per minute, 20 per hour, and 50 per day per teacher, plus service capacity limits. See current plans.
