Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DailyEd ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. If you are using DailyEd on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Description of Service

DailyEd is an educational platform that allows teachers to create, share, and publish interactive classroom activities including slideshows, quizzes, polls, discussions, and other formats. Students can access shared activities through unique links provided by their teachers.

Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of DailyEd. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a teacher account. Students may access shared activities without creating an account, subject to their school's policies.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use DailyEd only for lawful educational purposes. You may not use the Service to upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. You may not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, or access it through automated means without our permission. Our supported AI assistant connections are permitted automation when used within the permissions you approve and the Service’s limits.

Your Content

As between you and DailyEd, you retain any rights you hold in the activities, media, and other content you create or submit on DailyEd ("Your Content"), including content created with AI assistance. AI output may not be unique or eligible for intellectual property protection; these terms do not grant rights that you or DailyEd do not otherwise hold. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and distribute Your Content as necessary to operate DailyEd — for example, to show your shared activities to students or to display published activities in the library.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. If you publish an activity to the public library, other teachers may view and use it in accordance with DailyEd's sharing features.

AI Assistants and Generated Content

AI features are optional. You can generate activities directly in DailyEd by submitting a topic, activity type, and grade band to our in-app generator, which uses Anthropic Claude. No separate AI-assistant account is required for in-app generation. You may also connect a compatible third-party assistant, such as ChatGPT, to search public templates and, with your authorization, read your teaching content, create private activities, and publish activities. The connection may share your teacher account ID, display name, and owned activity content, including quiz answer keys, with the assistant provider. The Privacy Policy explains this data handling.

You authorize actions you request through a connected assistant within its approved permissions. Review requests and results carefully. Creating an activity does not publish it. When you ask the assistant to publish, the activity becomes discoverable in DailyEd public search and accessible to anyone with its student link. Your existing plan limits apply to in-app and connected-assistant creation, and repeating a creation request may create another activity and use additional allowance. In-app AI generation includes 2 successful generations per month on Free, 30 on Plus, and 100 on Pro, resetting on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC. Each successful chat refinement uses one AI generation and updates the same activity without using another activity slot. Newly generated activities also use the overall activity allowance. Failed generations and retries of a completed request do not use another AI generation; deleting an activity does not restore AI allowance. In-app generation also has request limits of 3 per minute, 20 per hour, and 50 per day per teacher, plus service-wide capacity limits. Failed requests count toward these request limits; an activity slot is used only if an activity is saved. A plan with unlimited activities does not provide unlimited AI requests.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, inappropriate, or similar to material created for others. You are responsible for checking facts, answer keys, age suitability, accessibility, and content rights before using or sharing it. Do not rely on AI output as the sole basis for grading, placement, discipline, or other decisions affecting a student. DailyEd does not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or suitability of AI-generated content.

Do not send student names, identifiable student work, grades, education records, health information, or other sensitive personal information through an AI assistant or include it in activity content made available to an assistant. Use generic or de-identified examples and follow your school’s authorization and data-handling requirements. The DailyEd AI integration does not provide student responses or grades, and it is intended for teachers, not for children to connect their own AI accounts.

Third-party assistants are separate services governed by their own terms, privacy policies, age requirements, and account settings. Their availability, charges, and data practices may differ from DailyEd’s. You can disconnect an assistant on the AI connections page. Disconnecting stops future access through that connection; it does not undo completed actions, unpublish activities, or remove copies already held by the provider.

Intellectual Property

DailyEd, its logo, design, and underlying software are the property of DailyEd and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written consent.

Termination

You may stop using DailyEd at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Use or if we need to do so for legal, security, or operational reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, though we may retain certain data as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

DailyEd is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any content created or shared by users.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DailyEd and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months prior to the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of DailyEd after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
